RAINBOW CAKE!

Assalamualaikum. :)

Because Ive made a rainbow cake, so we have to be excited as the colours on the cake! Haha merepek pula. Anyway, ive made a simple rainbow cake yesterday and Alhamdulillah it turned out great! :) Actually dah lama nak buat rainbow cake ni, cuma selalu takde masa and malas je. Hahaha weekend ni ada family day kan, so i guess why not i buat cake ni minggu niii. :)



So here i wanna share the recipe. The ingredients were simple but i admit that it was a little messy through the process and you must have a lot of mental power to do it. Haha atleast for the first time. Cause i was so drained after completing the cake. Alahai tak fit langsung :P Hehe straight to point, we should have a bater for the cake, icing and colourings are the most important!

For the bater:

350 gm self raising flour
350 gm soften butter
350 gm caster sugar
A teaspoon of vanilla extract
6 eggs
40 ml milk (if needed)

1. First of all macam biasa beat the butter and sugar until smooth, then add the eggs one by one.
2. add vanilla essence and mix well with wooden spoon or apa apa je
3. Add the flour and mix well until smooth.
4. Susu boleh letak sikit if bater tu macam pekat sangat but tak boleh lebih 40ml tu. And kena selang seli dengan tepung :)



Okay lepas dah kacau sebati, divide it into six portions. Each of the portions has to be mix with colourings to get the rainbow colour.

So we need the colour red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

Ni bukan nak promote tau, tak kisah pun pakai brand apa apa punn ;)


Then after that, put them in any cake tins. Tak kesah la berapa banyak cake tins pun nak guna, mine guna 3, but banyak stages lah. A lil bit hassle there but its okay all is well. Hehe 

Lepas semua cake dah masak, boleh stack them according to susunan pelangi. Haha selang seli kan dengan cream cheese tau supaya mereka melekat :)

For the cream cheese topping

100 gm butter
250 gm cream cheese
250 gm icing sugar

Yang ni senang je masuk kan semua dalam bekas then bet them until they turn whitish. Hihi gula kalau tak cukup boleh tambah. But recipe ni pun dah cut down on the sugar sebab original recipe guna 600 gm icing sugar :O



Oh jangan lupa preheat the oven at 180 degrees and bake about 20 minutes. Obviously mine took 20 minutes kan. Hehe




Actually sebenarnya the creamcheeese was supposed to cover the whole cake tap macam tak cukup pulak sb time sapu kat layaer layer tu macam tak budget2 nak letak banyak mana so jadi lah togel mcam ni je. Hahaha :P
